On Tuesday 31st July we sail for Ireland to settle for good. Lost my Mum last tuesday. Quite a lady. Born in 1909 to a poor Irish family in Liverpool. Started her life contributing to the family funds at the age of 5 selling oranges on the street corner. At 16 she was given a job by Notre Dame in the kitchens, where she lived and worked untill 1943 when she met my Father, Owen. She still worked for Notre Dame, rising to become the head Chef for the Training College until retirement at 65.
